The North Slope Borough (NSB) Oil and Gas Forum started in 2007 and since then NSB Planning & Community Services Department has held the forum in 2016, 2018, 2022. The goal of the forum is to continue engagement with our local leadership from our eight communities: Anaktuvuk Pass, Atqasuk, Kaktovik, Nuiqsut, Point Lay, Point Hope, Utqiagvik and Wainwright with the Oil and Gas industry. NSB intends on fostering collaboration between state, federal and local agencies across our North Slope region to continue environmentally safe practices that also protects our subsistence lifestyle.

Past forum topics included: ANWR and Eastward Expansion, Planning for Transportation and Utility Corridors and Mitigating Impacts of Subsistence Use. The 2025 Oil and Gas Forum will continue these conversations of high importance to our residents across the North Slope Borough. Please join the NSB Mayor, Josiah A.
